Servo Drive Repair and Testing

NF Trading provides a specialised diagnostic and repair service for servo drives and industrial electronic drives used in PCB production equipment. The objective is to restore safe, stable operation while reducing machine downtime and unnecessary replacement costs.

Technical assessment

Each unit is identified and inspected before repair. The assessment covers the power stage, control electronics, DC bus, IGBT modules, capacitors, cooling system, connectors and visible signs of thermal or electrical stress.

Where possible, fault history and machine symptoms are reviewed with the customer. A clear quotation is issued after the preliminary diagnosis and before any authorised work begins.

Repair process

🔹 Functional diagnosis and isolation of the failed section.
🔹 Replacement of damaged, degraded or out-of-tolerance components with approved parts.
🔹 Cleaning and inspection of boards, power connections and cooling paths.
🔹 Restoration of connections and protective elements where required.
🔹 Verification of firmware, parameters or configuration data when available and relevant.

Final testing

After repair, the drive undergoes controlled electrical and functional tests. Output stability, current response, alarms, communications and thermal behaviour are checked according to the unit type. The repair is released only after the fault has been reproduced, corrected and verified.

Information required for a faster diagnosis

To shorten evaluation time, send the manufacturer, model and serial number together with the alarm code, machine symptoms, operating conditions and any recent maintenance work. Photographs of the label and connectors are also useful.

Repair warranty

Repairs are covered for up to 1,000 operating hours or 6 months from delivery, whichever expires first, for faults attributable to the parts replaced or the repair work performed.

The warranty excludes normal wear, unsuitable installation, incorrect supply conditions, excessive loads, contamination, unauthorised modifications and third-party work. Visible defects must be reported within 2 weeks of delivery.
