Diamond treated tips

In recent years, PCB manufacturers have been faced with a number of problems due to the processing of higher performance materials used for assembly in the telecommunications, military, medical, etc. sectors.

Halogen free materials, IMS and laminates with different types of fillers have a significant impact on the performance and durability of the carbide tools normally used to process printed circuit boards.

The reduction in parameters and the shorter life of the drills have resulted in a significant increase in production costs.

Many manufacturers have therefore preferred to use diamond-treated tools in order to respond to the increasing yield difficulties and to compensate for the increase in costs.

Here is the checklist that I recommend to use regardless of the type of tool used.
