Collets

Westind and other brands of collets are available on request.

Regular maintenance of collets is essential. Westwind recommend that maintenance is carried out every 100 hours of operation for the removable collets and every 24 hours for the other collets. The actual frequency of maintenance will depend on the application, use and environment.

Collet maintenance tools

Maintenance kits are available for all major types of collets. These contain the lubricant and a collet locking tool specifically designed to allow the collet to be set correctly.

Torsion test kits are also available which include complete equipment and test instructions. Good maintenance is essential to preserve collets and maintain optimum spindle performance.
